Sign a PDF
Signing a PDF usually means printing it, signing by hand, and scanning it back, or uploading a private contract to a website that keeps a copy. DMI's sign tool skips all of that: draw your signature with a mouse or finger, type your name in a handwriting style, or upload an image of your signature, then drop it onto the page and position you choose. Everything happens in your browser, so the document never leaves your device. It is a fast, private way to add a visual signature to agreements, forms, and letters. Note that this adds a visual signature, not a cryptographic digital certificate, which is what most everyday signing needs.
How it works
- Upload the PDF you want to sign.
- Draw, type, or upload your signature, then pick the page and position.
- Click Sign to download your signed PDF instantly.
Frequently asked questions
Is signing a PDF free?
Yes, DMI's sign tool is completely free, with no signup, no watermark, and no limit on how many documents you sign. Draw, type, or upload a signature as often as you like without ever hitting a paywall.
Are my documents private and safe?
Yes. Signing happens entirely in your browser, so the PDF and your signature are never uploaded to a server. We log usage metadata, including your IP address, tool name, filename, and file size, for up to 12 months to help prevent abuse, but never the file contents.
Is this a legally binding digital signature?
This tool adds a visual signature, a picture of your handwriting placed on the page, which is what most everyday agreements and forms need. It is not a cryptographic certificate-based signature; for those, a certificate-signing service is required.
